LinkLyst has no account, no server, and no analytics. Your saved links stay in your own browser. Nothing about you or your browsing is sent to the developer of this extension — there is no endpoint that could receive it.
LinkLyst stores only what you explicitly ask it to save, plus the settings needed to show it back to you.

LinkLyst does not read, collect, or store anything from pages you did not save. It does not monitor browsing, clicks, keystrokes, scrolling, or which tabs you have open. It has no login, no OAuth flow, no advertising or analytics code, and does not request the identity permission, so it never sees your Google or Mozilla account or email address.
By default, LinkLyst keeps a compact, metadata-only copy of your library in the storage.sync area. This is your browser's own storage, not LinkLyst's. When you are signed in with sync enabled, the browser may replicate it to your other profiles in that same browser, which is what makes a library reappear after a reinstall or on a second computer. That replication is performed by the browser under your own account — your Google account on Chrome, your Mozilla account on Firefox — and does not pass through any LinkLyst service. If you are not signed in to a browser account, the copy simply stays on the machine.
That copy contains playlist names, saved URLs, titles, domains, membership, and order. It never contains:
You control it from the gallery's Browser profile storage panel. Clearing Keep core library in browser profile stops the copy — the status then reads "Local only on this browser profile" — and Erase profile copy removes the copy the browser is already holding. Your local library is authoritative and is never deleted by either action.
Requests happen only as a direct result of a link you save or a preview that is displayed. There are no background, scheduled, or telemetry requests.

These reads are bounded: a six-second whole-response timeout, an allowlist of content types, a 512 KiB cap on HTML, and a 128 KiB cap on JSON. Fetched HTML is parsed as data in an isolated offscreen document; no script from a fetched page is ever executed, and LinkLyst injects nothing into web pages. There is no favicon proxy service and no remote web font, so no third party is contacted merely because the extension's own interface is open.
LinkLyst does not sell, rent, or transfer your data to anyone. There are no third parties involved in operating it, no service providers, no advertising partners, and no data brokers. The only parties that receive anything are the websites whose links you chose to save, as described in the table above, and your own browser — Chrome or Firefox — if you leave the profile copy enabled.
Your data is not used to determine creditworthiness or for any lending purpose, and it is not used for any purpose unrelated to saving and reopening the links you chose to save.
Data stays until you remove it. Deleting an item or a playlist moves it to a local Trash for 30 days (or 50 entries, whichever comes first) so it can be recovered, then it is dropped. Removing the extension from your browser deletes its local storage and its screenshot database along with it; if you had the profile copy enabled, use Erase profile copy before uninstalling to also clear the metadata copy the browser holds.
You can export everything at any time from the gallery — clean JSON, or a browser bookmarks HTML file — so leaving is not lossy.
LinkLyst is a general-purpose bookmarking tool. It is not directed at children and knowingly collects nothing about anyone, of any age.
Material changes will be published with a new effective date at the top of this document before the release they apply to.
